It’s true! I like to be the person I hope no one else would ever be. I always say this is one of the most important points to remember when talking to people about your new apartment. It’s like if your car breaks down, you want to be able to say to your friends, “I’m sorry. I only have one set of wheels.
Being perfectly organized is the very thing that should be most important to you in the first place. If you are not already, this is important. There is no reason people in your life should be perfect, so start practicing the art of being a little bit better. This being said, there is absolutely no reason to be a perfectionist with your apartment. If you find yourself being too perfectionistic, you are probably the one who is being too perfectionistic.
Perfectionism is a terrible place to be, especially if you have a young child. You don’t want to feel like you’re not doing everything you can to make things perfect for yourself, so it’s best to put the brakes on when you find yourself doing it a little too much.
I think being too perfectionistic is one of the most common reasons I hear for people trying to paint their new construction home. This is one of those times when I wish I could give them a “Duh!” and tell them to just relax.
