Since the beginning of the school year, all Cheney students have been learning on-site unless families specifically opt for remote learning.
“It is also crystal clear our students want to be in school and our parents want their child to be in school,” Superintendent David Grover said in a press release on Nov. 12.
Cheney is following all gating criteria set by the gating committee. The gating committee is comprised of ten members of educators, board members, community members and three medical professionals.
According to Grover on Dec. 4, as long as Cheney schools continue to meet gating criteria, they will be operating in person in the spring semester.
